Padmavathy thought of becoming airhostess completed one year training course in Bangalore but the place for her to shine and fly high was in the filmdom. From a small advertisement of Sumangali Sarees she took part she got noticed to Kolminchu producer and now her second film in Kannada also starts with K letter. It is Khadak!

Daughter of vegetable cultivators Padmavathi finished PUC from Ammanni college in Bangalore. She plays a middle class heroine in Khadak who is instrumental in changing the attitude of the protagonist Jitesh in the film.

Padmavathi has already fled to Tamil films. She has appeared in two films Vovol with Vikranth and ‘Velathe Katt’ opposite relative of SA Chandrasekhar who is the father of top star Vijayin Tamil films. This SA Chandrasekhar film is made by Sun Pictures.
